Living life the right way', was written to not only serve as an autobiography of the struggles and life's lessons faced by the author, but more importantly it was put down on paper to serve as a tool to assist others in better realizing their potential. The most important chapters of the book have yet to be written as they are intended to be done by each reader as they begin their personal journey towards a better life.

Thanks for providing me a copy of your book. I have read it and received great satisfaction from reading your declarations as to how you overcame temptations that assail all of us and from which many do not find the courage and will to cast them aside. You made it plain that you had help, particularly from your lovely, dedicated mother, but the actual process of developing a satisfactory and productive life rests with the individual, as it did with you.
You and your associates who founded and promote the "Youth of Honor Foundation" are to be highly praised for sharing your efforts, your lives with youth in need. I close by telling you how proud I am of you and I know that I join a host of your friends in expressing that.

- “The most important thing to me was the fact that Mr. Brashear reassured me of my self-esteem. Yes, it’s high but every now and then I have those days when the devil (my past) try and pull me back. 'Bouncing Back' added more gas to my tank. More gas to fight all odds.”

After surveying this list, Ron could well have been born an eagle. He has so much in common with that majestic bird. BUT, make no mistake about it – Ron earned every “feather” the hard way. You will understand why I say this after reading his book. You will find every one of the above eagle characteristics in this book, characteristics which accurately describe Ron.
It would have been so easy to cave in and give up when you read about the obstacles and challenges on Ron’s life path. But he did not quit. He loved himself. Ron is now committed to sharing his experience with those most vulnerable to the attack of negativity – the young people of this nation and the world. He wants our young people to grow all their eagle feathers and fly higher than a thundercloud.
Ron has the God given gift and the life experience to inspire young people, in fact, ALL people, to greatness.
